Home Remedies For Sprains


Sprains is medical condition which can be defined as the sudden or violent twist or wrench usually of a joint which causes various degrees of stretch of tear of a ligament or other soft tissue at the joint. A sprain (from the French espraindre - to wring) is an injury which occurs to ligaments caused by a sudden overstretching. The severity of the injury may vary from a minor stretching that may soon recover fully to a major tear that makes the bony link unstable. The treatment of a sprain injury includes ice packs, resting and elevating the involved joint and anti-inflammatory medications. Depending on the severity and location, support bracing can help.

Home Remedies For Sprains

Mix 1 tsp raw lime powder and 1 tsp of honey. Apply on the sprain.

In 1 tsp of almond oil, mix 1 tsp garlic oil. Now apply this mixture oil on the sprain-affected area.

Make a paste of lime leaves and butter. Apply on the affected area.

In hot water, put the outer leaves of cabbage and heat for a few minutes. Thereafter, bandage them around the sprain.
