Home Remedies For Jetlag


Jetlag is also known as jet syndrome which can be defined as the fatigue and sleep disturbance resulting from disruption of the body's normal circadian rhythm as a result of jet travel that causes fatigue, insomnia, and other symptoms as a result of rapid air travel across time zones. The condition is generally believed to be the result of disruption to the circadian rhythms (i.e. the "light/dark" cycle) of the body. Symptoms include fatigue, sleep and impaired alertness.

Home Remedies For Jetlag

Avoid caffeine. It will keep you up and increase jet lag.

Drink lots of water. Lots. On the plane. Off the plane. Get your 10 glasses at least.

Adjust your sleep routine to the new time zone before you leave home.

Keep yourself active during the day and you will sleep better at night. A cup of warm milk may help.

Take an anti-stress high-potency B-complex vitamin with 1,000 mg of time-release vitamin C.
