Home Remedies For Hiccups
Hiccups can be defined as the sudden, involuntary spasm of the diaphragm typically this repeats several times a minute until some home remedy is applied. A hiccup is a condition that takes place from the dome shaped chest muscle, also known as diaphragm. Hiccups will usually stop on their own. Continuous hiccups lasting for more than a day or two may indicate a cause of an underlying disease, which needs medical intervention. Generally hiccups last for a few minutes but sometimes they may last for days or weeks. This may be a sign of some other medical problems in the body. The sudden rush of air into the lungs causes the glottis to close, creating the "hic" noise. It is sometimes written as hiccough, though this spelling is becoming archaic. Home Remedies For HiccupsDrink 8 little sips of water then take one big one. Place a papertowel over a full glass of water and sip. Hiccups will stop immediately! Sucking a lemon with worcestershire sauce can also work. A teaspoon of sugar taken dry can eliminate the hiccups. Pound 5-6 green cardamom. Boil in 2 cups of water. When it boils down to 1 cup remove, sieve and drink while warm. For a few minutes, close your eyes and gently massage your eyeballs. Eat 1 tsp of peanut butter everyday. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds mixed with 1/2 tsp pure ghee and swallowed will stop hiccups.
