Home Remedies For Acne


Acne is a skin disorder which occurs when sebaceous glands become blocked or inflamed to varying degrees, causing inflammation of the sebaceous glands and characterised by closed and/or open comedones, papules and/or pustules on the face, neck and upper body. Heredity, diet, hygiene, stress, and general illness can aggravate acne which can be extremely upsetting to the young soldier. Acne is caused by plugged oil glands. Acne is characterized by the presence of comedones or blackheads, pimples, small superficial sebaceous cysts, and scars. There are over half a dozen forms of acne, the most common being blackheads. Acne sufferers experience persistent, recurring reddish blemishes on the face, chest, shoulders, neck, upper back or buttocks. When these blemishes are spots that have a dark, open center, they are called blackheads. Home remedy for acne serves as the best and natural way of heading your way towards achieving flawless skin.

Home Remedies For Acne

Take a few fresh curry leaves and make a paste. Apply the paste on the acne-affected area and keep it overnight and wash it off with warm water the next morning.

Lemon has also proved beneficial in reducing pimples and acne. Its juice should be applied regularly to obtain relief

Use Lavender oil to apply directly on the acne area.

Eat foods high in beta carotene, such as carrots, pumpkin, cantaloupe and other yellow-orange fruits and vegetables.

Acne is believed to be from Pitta dosha aggravation. So, the treatment includes a diet that includes plenty of bland foods such as oatmeal, apple sauce, basmati rice and eliminating fried foods, spicy foods and citrus fruits.

For dry skin, the best remedy is to take a piece of sandalwood and rub it on a smooth stone and make a paste using a few drops of raw milk. Apply the mixture on the acne and keep it for an hour and thereafter gently wash with water.

Gently apply fresh limejuice on pimples and blackheads.

Black currant seed oil or evening primrose oil, three 500-milligram capsules a day daily for three months or until your acne clears up.
