Treament of Aneurism

- Neurosurgery is the primary treatment for aneurysm. The base of the aneurysm is closed off with clamps, sutures, or other methods that prevent blood flow through the aneurysm.
- Surgery can be used in the treatment of aneurysms.
- Treatments include threading a catheter from an artery in the leg up to the aneurism, and under x-ray guidance placing a metal coil into the aneurism.
